How vulnerability became my superpower.
I was brave.
I followed my heart.
I asked for help.
That is how CoRo Consulting began. Not with a perfect plan, but with a choice to stop hiding.
The truth? Before I could build anything real, I had to let go of what kept me small: Alcohol that blurred my edges. Cigarettes that numbed my nerves. Food that filled the emptiness but never the hunger. Chaos I mistook for energy. Shame I carried like a second skin. Guilt I wore like proof that I cared.
I told myself these things made me strong. But strength built on shame isn’t strength at all. It’s a cage that kept me small.
Letting them go was messy and humbling. But every release created more space for truth. More space for me. More space for CoRo Consulting to be born. A company rooted in CARE™: Clarity, Authenticity, Recognition, and Empathy. A refusal to settle for Crumb Culture™. A belief that leadership begins with healing.
The power is in the now. I tell my story without shame so others can remember their own. I let go of old identities so no one else forgets how big they’re allowed to be. Because this is how we destroy the systems that keep us small. The only way we create the world we want is by doing the work of showing up for ourselves. Releasing the old. Making space for the greatness that has been there all along.
This weekend, that vision came alive. I went first. I named my truth. And the room followed, held with such care by Intuitive Bodywork TN.

They were not just a backdrop. They were partners in creating a space where real release and real transformation could happen. That is why it felt so aligned to host No More Crumbs: A Leadership Reset for Women Who Give a Damn there. If you are craving a deeper experience, take a look at their upcoming retreat. It might be the exhale your body has been waiting for.
In that space, something powerful unfolded. Women spoke about what shrinking feels like in their bodies. They wrote about what keeps them small. They released shame and claimed new words: joy, grace, rest, and initiative. Each left with one bold action to choose themselves going forward.
And the most powerful part? My daughter was there. She heard me share my story with vulnerability and without shame. She saw me choose courage in real time. She captured it all on camera. She created the video you are about to see.
It was her 18th birthday. On the day she stepped into adulthood, she shared her brilliance with us and reminded me of the cycles we have destroyed together.
And my sister-in-love was there too, as always. She set up the AV when I could not figure it out. She put the chairs away. She washed the tea cups. She hugged me at the end and said, Your superpower is vulnerability. My heart expanded eleven times.
May we all find our superpower. And may we use it to lead, to parent, to love, to build in a world that was never designed to hold our fullness. A world that is not big enough to keep us small. When we stop shrinking, we do not just change ourselves. We change what is possible for everyone around us. We change the legacy our children inherit. We change the systems that told us crumbs were all we deserved.
This is why I started CoRo Consulting. To prove that clarity, authenticity, recognition, and empathy are not just leadership words. They are how we create workplaces and lives where enough is the standard.
We are not at the beginning. We are in the shift. The world will not stay the same because we refuse to stay small.
